Vision 2010 Update

Friday, 11 June 2010 11:54 by Dry Ridge Inn
The response to our new Vision in 2010 has been fantastic.  Several of our previous guests have applauded our moves, and new guests have told us how much the appreciate specifically our new rate structure.  We truly believe that B&B's in Asheville are just too expensive, we offer all the same amenties and in some cases more than the other Asheville B&B's. We have adjusted our rates to match the unemployement rate.  The higher the unemployment rate the lower our rates. These are stressful times and putting together a weekend or weekday getaway is even more important now than ever.  So here is an offer.   If you are reading this blog entry, and you book a two or more night stay with us from now June 11 through Sept 30, we will give you a 5% discount on your stay.  Just mention "VISIONBLOG" either when you call us, or when you book online. It is that simple 5% off our already reduced rates, and that goes along with our 100% guarantee posted on our website. We hope all is well, and you have a sucessful summer.

New Vision for 2010

Tuesday, 23 February 2010 22:13 by Dry Ridge Inn

We have begun to execute an ambitious plan to make Dry Ridge Inn a stronger, more profitable B&B that, at the same time, is more focused than ever on delivering for our guests. Given the fundamentally changed business environment, we have significant challenges to confront as well as tremendous opportunities to pursue. But to do so successfully, we need to move forward urgently with a new vision, the strength to power through inevitable dips in the market, and an even stronger culture of innovation and guest responsiveness. And more than ever, we need to be able to turn on a dime. With smart choices and disciplined execution, the opportunities for growth for our B&B are substantial.

Over the past several months, we have been taking a hard look at every aspect of our business – every process, and every guest touch point. This transformation effort is much more than a one-time exercise. Our objective is to fundamentally and permanently change our business model, to provide Dry Ridge Inn with significantly improved flexibility and scalability. This means significant redesign of our structure and processes to make us more efficient and better able to deliver high quality service to our guests.

We have developed a comprehensive plan to transform our operations, our culture and our bottom line – all with a constant focus on the needs of our guests. With hard work we’ve identified what we need to achieve, and we’ve made some early progress.

This is an ambitious effort that will require difficult decisions. We needed to think creatively, remain open to new responsibilities, challenge the status quo, and look for better ways to get things done. We need you to let us know what you think.

We have responded to the current economic environment, and have restructured our rates to match the new normal. We have reduced the rate on our queen rooms by $50, and the rate of our King rooms by $40. Our standard rate for our Queen rooms is $99, and for our King rooms is $129. We will have different rates that match our high demand times, which are holiday weekends and October Fall Foliage.

We have instituted a 100% guarantee. If there is any problem with your stay we will make it right. If you are still not satisfied, and can tell us in person that your stay with us was not to your expectations, we will refund your money. No other B&B will make this statement.

We feel that B&B’s in the Asheville area are simply just too expensive. We want to offer an alternative, our amenities are equal to and sometimes exceed many of the Asheville B&B’s. Please visit our website, www.dryridgeinn.com . Give us a call 1 800 839-3899. We would love to have you stay with us during your visit to the Asheville Area.

If you are one of our valued previous guests, please consider us for a 2010 getaway. If your plans do not include a trip to the western North Carolina mountains, then spread the word about the value we offer to your friends and colleagues.
